Hi, I have 3 two and a half month kittens and 3 year old cats. One of the kittens at a month old got curious and stuck his face into a burning candle. Luckily the damage  was just half burnt whiskers on one side of his face. Over time they slowly started growing and all seemed well, except for three days ago.... my family and I noticed that all but two whiskers are gone!!

I noticed last night when he scratches his face he covers almost his whole cheek but where the remaining two whiskers are. Could he have just scratched them off? Could one of the other cats have chewed them off?

It worries me because since he burned his whiskers, his fur hasn't grown out like the other two kittens and its taken him longer to put on the same amount of weight. Could this be a side effect?

Cats lose their whiskers, so it could be a combination of things.  I'd talk to your vet to see if there's something weird going on.
