So, I've had my ups and downs with Little Girl.  I nursed her through histoplasmosis, which included large amounts of vomit every single day.  Now that she is 100% better, I'm trying my hardest to not be paranoid, but the puking is still an issue.  She is on Royal Canin Special 33 which seems to be the only food that doesn't cause her to vomit profusely.  She is maintaining her weight beautifully, she is grooming, she is full of energy, and her gums are a nice healthy pink.

I just don't get why she is still throwing up!  About once a week, I will wake up at 5 to 7am to the sounds of retching.  It is usually clear fluid, sometimes it is thick like mucus.  I can usually tell when she's about to get sick because I deal with really bad allergies.  When I start to feel under the weather, she usually follows.  I'm almost certain that she has allergies of some sort.  Some days she will meow and her voice sounds really rough, but it only lasts for an hour or two before she is back to her normal self.

Just this morning, she threw up her clear fluid at 5am and then she just threw up a belly full of food at 8pm.  I give her Cerenia when she seems to be nauseaous.  The vet suggested giving her a forth of a Pepcid tablet to combat the upset stomach as well, but I have not done this yet.  Are there any other things that I might try with her?

Have you tried a grain free carageen free canned food ? My girl vomited daily until I switched totally over I also used vets best hairball digestive tabs (they have slippery elm and psyllium to aid digestion). Now I do not even need that! No vomiting for 2 months. Canned only now!

She was getting Nature's Variety grain free canned food when she was so sick.  Now she won't touch canned food.  She gives a few licks before she is done.

Nope.  She never gets to go outdoors.  She was dewormed about six months ago with her vaccinations.

I wonder if she's associating the wet food with being sick?
From what you've said, it does sound like it could be an allergy.
