Does anyone know of any good insect killing products that are safe for pets? I think we might have a gnat problem starting out
and would also like to know for future reference. Thanks.

Gnats... usually these are fungus gnats and are attracted to areas where moisture is present like wet plants etc. Make sure you let the dirt dry out between watering your plants, that will help. Is there an area where you see them? You should look for natural remedy items, and be wary when buying "organic" products as some pretty nasty chemicals are organic!

Take a length of newspaper - roll it tight, a little tape over each end and you have a perfect swatter. keeps you fit!

Some years ago, we had a total of 7 flies in the house. One day when my wife was at work - I swatted em all. She was thrilled. I told her it was easy - two of them were male and 5 female. When asked how I knew - I told her the two I killed that were male were on a beer can and the other 5 were on the phone!!!!!
Easy.

You knew that was coming didn't you?????
