Ear Mite Questions

First off, is it ok to treat it at home or does a vet have to do it? Second... do all ear mite treatments have to be diluted with water? Do sheets/clothing/rugs need to be washed?
Sorry for all the questions.. Newbie here.

I have been advised again and again never to use over the counter treatment for ear mites. My vet gave my kitten medication one time..only 16 bucks...and I never saw them again.

And yeah, I cleaned everything in my apartment too.

Don't use over the counter meds for your cat/s , first most are not save and 2cnd most are to harsch and may cause more problems for your baby . I would go to your vet and let him/her diagnose first if your cat has earmite , then he/she can give your cat/s the right treatments .

Take your kitty to the vet. I would never use the OTC meds you find in the pet stores. Also, I would suggest washing any bedding the cat may sleep on. Ear mites can spread like crazy.

Thanks every 1. I will definitely be taking them in to the vet. Anything I can do to help them feel better at the moment?
