I know a few people here use this stuff on their cat food. How come on the Mercola website it says average sized cats only need one pump per day, when one pump is only about 50mg? Also, on Amazon I see it for over $30 for just 3.92 fl ounces. I thought Icelandic Salmon Oil was expensive at $25 for a 17oz bottle. Is there anywhere to get this stuff cheaper?

This is not the same brand but it is an excellent product . I buy for my dogs occasionally . It is also a reasonable price .

I've heard criticism about Mercola krill oil. It was about the dosage/amount needed and something else I can't remember.

A lot of members use Now Neptune krill oil. It comes in a softgel and you have to puncture it and squeeze the oil out. It's not as easy to do this as it sounds. You have to puncture it along the seam and squeezing all the oil out isn't easy since the capsule is small. I know one member even got syringes from the vet and sucks it out!

I did try a different brand once, but the gelcap was harder and I couldn't get as much oil out. If you look for alternative brands you also have to examine the ingredients. A lot of brands for people put orange or lemon oils or other substances not good for kitties in it to help soften fish burps.
