Hi - I just joined and a little about me and my kitty family:
- I live in TX. Had cats all my life.
- I have 4 cats,,,all rescues.
1. Meeka - age 14 ish Black short hair. Dumped in my neighborhood. Neighbors feeding her dog food. Obvious that she had been nursing kittens. I myself was pregnant at the time and didn't need another cat (had 2 at the time). Couldn't take it anymore and Meeka became mine.
2. Keida (kay dah) age 7 ish Seal point siamese. Found her at my friend's house when we were fishing in the neighborhood pond. Little girl came by and said I found this kitty and I've been playing with her. Well I had a black and a siamese cat as a child,,,so she is mine. Took her home. A week or so later found she had a broken hip. $1500 later,,,good as new (they did that wrap the muscle around the joint technique).
3. Boo brown tabby 1 1/2 yrs old Adopted from Feral Friends rescue. She was at our Petco. Tiny kitten. Underweight. My kids talked me into it. Extremely insecure and anxious. She is my current problem. Attacks new kitty.
4. Shadow Belle solid black medium hair 5 mos old - Found in my neighbors back yard. We were taking care of their house while they were on vacation. We called them and said "did you know your kitten was out?". They said we saw that cat hanging around and we don't want it. She was only 3 mos old,,,still had her baby teeth. Scared to death. I thought she was feral. Couldn't approach her. Went to their back yard and fed her every day for 2 weeks to gain her confidence. They caught her when she jumped in the owners lap while he was sitting on the patio. That told me she wasn't feral. She is the sweetest little kitty I have seen in a long time. Just a fur puddle,,,goes all limp in your arms. Sweet however a little shy/timid.
Oh, and I have a husband and 2 girls (twins),,,middle school.
