Today I woke up at the usual time to feed my 12week old kitten yuki, he ate a little but left about half of the plate uneaten, but he'd sometimes do that
Then he went to poop, and I found a little piece of it stuck in his fur, I thought it was normal since he has longhair, but then while I was removing it I found it was a little soft and I found Blood around his aunis :(
I just bathed him yesterday, could this have anything to do with it?
And the vet we go to is closed today, but there's the vet he used to go to before I took him, should I just go to him?
I'm also traveling tomorrow for two days leaving him with my friend, so I don't know what to do :( please help!!! He was very normal yesterday just playing more than usual :(

How much blood did you find? A drop or two or was there lots? Can u quantify? Was the blood oozing from the cats anus or just a drop there or was the poo bloody?

No it wasn't much at all, I would say about 2 drops. And it wasn't oozing out of the anus I saw it with the poop that was stuck, around(or beneath it) the anus, and just a little on the poo , the poo in the box doesn't seem to have any blood in it, it's only soft
And I forgot to mention but he does have fleas, I was going to give him flea treatment at the vet once I came back @Slykat12

If your kitty is acting normally-I mean eating and drinking ok and playing then I think he is ok to wait a few days. Ensure your friend will watch for any more blood and tell them it it is more than a couple teaspoons the cat needs to go to the vet. But not to worry about a drop or two.

You need to get rid of those pesky fleas soon though as they are multiplying and biting your baby-I hope you told your friend he has em too because they may have to treat their house too. lol  Also you best look around his bottom for tapeworms-they will look like white rice. There is a possibility your cat has worms.

So he got a bath yesterday? A flea bath? I don't  think that could cause the blood unless you used soap around the cats anus and irritated it. The cause could also be something as simple as a large dry bowel movement, something irritating his rectum, kitty just scratched himself, worms, anal sac issues, or a flea had lunch there. Maybe give the cat only wet food why you are gone to keep the movements soft and when you do the flea treatment mention it to the vet.

If you google you will see this is a common issue with cats with varying causes.

Ok I'll watch him today and see how he does, and I'll make sure to tell her[emoji]128547[/emoji]

Yeah she knows :) ok I'll see if i can find any, are they only visible after he poops?

It wasn't a flea bath, just normal a bath with baby Johnson shampoo because he got him self dirty, we've bathed him once before with it

I've always given him wet food, and one meal of raw chicken. Never dry :)

Yup I know, I've searched before, but I still can't help but worry when I see it with my own eyes[emoji]128517[/emoji]

blood in the poop can be a sign of parasites or other inflammatory issues.  Bring a stool sample with you to the vet.

He is acting very normally till now, playing like crazy
but just now he did another soft poo, with a runny drop falling on his hair :(
Still acting very normally, he got crazy once he pooped again
He usually poops only once every two days :(
did he maybe catch a cold from the bath? Or might it be worms from the fleas? Or is it something with the food? I didnt change anything with the food

I know this might be a minor problem, but im still worried, especially that I won't be there from tomrrow :( my friend can take him to the vet, but I'm not sure if it will be open , since this week is a holiday in our country

Ill be trying to call the vet in the morning inshallah if he does another soft poo tomorrow
but is there something i can do till i reach him???

Indeed, I implied that with the tapeworm line. But it was really late and I was not detailed enough. TY for reinforcement.

For the OP I think I already gave you all the advice I had. Runny poo could be another parasite sign. If you are worried go to the vet sooner or have your friend take the cat. Nice to read there was no blood this round though.

BTW No one gets a cold from a bath. And even if you did (which u don't, colds/influenza are from viruses) it would not cause bleeding from the anus.

Also ask the vet about a "sanitary cut" . That is where you carefully cut the cats long hair around their butt so the poo does not get stuck. I do it for my long haired cat myself. Keeps everything fresh!

Hi what country may i ask?

The best thing to do is just get him to a vet with a stool sample, in the near future. It is not an emergency.

My cat had blood every time in her stools! It was never mixed in... always a tad on the outside of her stool. Vet said it was most likely a hemorrhoid type of thing or fisher. She was totally healthy for 10 years and passed 4 weeks ago with something unrelated. I felt kinda bad because with her chylothorax disease she had to take the supplement "rutin" and in people its for cell renewal and hemorrhoids... well although it didnt help her chylo... we were amazed it cleared up her stool!
