My cats are indoor/outdoor and can freely move around but one of my cats (Koko puff) left and hasn't come back. Then a couple days later my other cat (Lelo) left and hasn't come back. And lelo NEVER misses a meal. I am very worried. We have a woods in our back yard with coyotes but no evidence of death was around. Somebody please help I miss them terribly. This is just odd having two cats disappear at the same time.

Hello,

Welcome to The Cat Site. Sorry it isn't under happier circumstances.

There is some information on these threads that might help you in your search.

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/248019/tips-for-finding-a-lost-cat

Have you tried putting posters up in your neighbourhood? Called the local vet and animal shelters?

Good luck with your search, I hope they turn up.

I feel your pain...my two cats got out do to a malfunction with my garage door opener last night....both are indoor cats..everday when I get home they meet me at the laundry room door and go out into the garage and play..chase and hide from each other using my car...last night was gabage night and when I pulled the can out I unknowingly knocked a bottle of windshield washer fluid partially under the track of the garage door...I closed the door and heard it shut or so I thought...the door actually was open by about 6"...they both got out but surprisingly the younger one came back..the older one is still missing...he got out about 5 years ago and was gone for 4 months but I got him back because he was chipped..Im hoping for the same result...good luck to you with your cats...

Oh no, this is terrible news!

Take the advice in the link given, and don't give up hope! Often they do come back. We're all crossing our fingers and praying for you.

My Aunt Floy's disappeared for several weeks then came back, so there is still hope. Depending on where you live, coyotes can be a problem. They kill pet cats and dogs. I personally think our pets should have a priority over the coyotes, and we should kill the latter when they become a threat to our pets -- unfortunately there exist coyote-huggers who disagree. Anyhow my Aunt's cat returned home after being gone for a considerable duration, which happened in Salt lake City.
