My 10 year old cat was just diagnosed with Feline Herpes. Runny nose, sneezing like crazy, and just generally not feeling well. He was prescribed Famciclovir a few days ago after going through 2 different antibiotics with no real results. Giving this cat a pill is not an option.... I found a compounding pharmacy that makes it into a liquid with super results. RoadRunner Pharmacy located in Phoenix AZ is the place to go. Most vets probably know about them. The scrip costs me $42 plus I paid an extra $17 for next day delivery. Well worth it. Just letting folks know they have an option of this or fighting the cat with a pill... Much easier for sure!

Glad you found a pharmacy that will compound. That's what I do when I have to give Ritz prescription medicine. If the drug is common, my local grocery store will compound it using bubblegum flavor. I also go to another pharmacy that specializes in compounding; they will compound the medication using chicken/tuna flavoring.
A couple of notes: the vet must approve compounding. Usually this isn't an issue unless the medication is delayed action (technical term may not be correct). A bigger issue is if the medication is not prescribed for humans: depending on the pharmacist and local/state laws, the pharmacist may not be legally permitted to compound the drug even if you bring the veterinarian drug to the pharmacist.
