Well, crap. Turns out our resident feral, H.P, was pregnant. Not sure how I didn't notice, she didn't appear larger than usual over the last 3 months. Anyway, she gave birth to four tiny orange fluffballs early this morning or late last night. Either way they aren't more than a day old. Happy October, I suppose!

She had them in our storage trailer behind a bunch of plastic tubs, but surprisingly, showed me where they were this morning. I moved them and her into a large crate so the babies will get human contact and not be feral at all. I have NEVER seen her kittens this small before. She usually has them off in the woods and brings them to the house when they are around a month old. I put the little cat hole-house thing in there for her to feel secure with her babies but the silly girl crammed herself and all four of them into the tiny house.
Whatever, as long as she is content!

Luckily though, she is the only one of our non-spayed females to be pregnant. And I think that's because she is feral, and will go wandering looking for a male. Our other two non-spayed girls never leave the yard. Money has been extremely tight lately with my FIL's death last month, as much as I want to get them all spayed I just can't afford to when I have important bills like electricity and insurance that need paid first.

Anyway, enjoy a thread of photos and updates as these 4 cuties grow up. There are two males and two females as far as I can tell!

awwww..........they're so cute! momma is very pretty too!

when you're ready to spay/neuter, there's a low cost spay/neuter program in your state --  info is at spaygeorgia dot org. just in case you didn't know.

Thank you! I didn't know about this website. I will look into it and that way I can put a savings pot away for it.

Wish you were in AZ. My 7 year old soooo wants an orange or orange and white kitty to name after a Minecraft character... "Stampy Longnose". We have (I have) been looking. Not easy to find!

I agree about it being tough to find orange or orange and white kittens. After looking at pet ad after pet ad I finally found my orange and white kitten Sunny last weekend.

Awwww, what adorable kittens.  I suspect that's what Ruby looked like when she was a baby.   That's the only drawback to adopting an adult, you miss seeing them as kittens.

AWwwwww! "I'm melting from all the cuteness!!  I love it, because Angel only came to me at 5 yrs old, so I never had him as a kitten. I imagine that's how he must have looked.
