I give B12 injections to two cats.  Travis just tolerates me poking him because we give him subq injections, too, and I guess he's used to it.  Jake doesn't hold still as well but I kind of trick him--I wait until he's eating.  His head is bent down towards the food bowl so it's in a good position, and he's involved in chowing down.
I can gently get a bit of skin on the back of his neck, and get the needle in and out before he really even notices it.

I did that at first, injecting him when he was eating, that is what I used to do with a diabetic cat.  But, he caught on to it, and I did not want him to have an adverse relationship with his food!  So now, I am giving him small tuna treats every day, and pulling up the skin on the back of his neck, like I am giving him an injection, every day, so he associates that with the tuna, and not with a needle...I dont know if this will work...

That sounds like a good plan.  Hopefully some other members will come along with some thoughts/tips for these injections.  :)

When I give my cat Cali her Adequan injections I wait till she's sound asleep on her cat tree. Usually I can do it before she knows what's happening.

Vitacost sells powdered B12...you put it in food...or in a little water and syringe..it seems many of he crf pet owners are using that method with success.

Bev

Its.Methylcobalamin 500mcg......they can help you with dosage..i think it's one a day...i am going to order some myself for my kitty.

I give me cat an Iron/B12 tinic daily that the vet mixed up for me. It has a strong fish smell and it looks like syrup but it's a lot easier than injections for my cat. That might also be an option and it was reasonable as far as price goes.
