Nay.    I would get suspicious.  Unless she leaks poo, or got her anal glands squeezed - which is fully possible, although they dont mention it often.

Otherwise, I would get suspicious, and try to detect the source - MAY be an infection and pus somewhere..   Also,  measure her  temp.

You can measure in the armpit of the foreleg.   Not so invasive and irritating as the usual in the beihnd.

It is about 3 grades Fahrenheit lower in the armpit than in behind.  Or one full grade Celsius.

Be prepared for emergency visit with a good vet.

ps.   One possibility, she being high preg, cant manage wash herself properly.  And thus smells.

Yes, it would be normal.

But still, you must be sure on it.

Good luck!

Sorry, I dont really see what is on this pic,.

I hope someone with a better monitor sees, and can answer.

Otherwise, its a common question for our forumites to wait on the delivery.  There is no good way to tell for sure. EVEN if you know when they mated..

And observe, nobody here do mail.  If we have something to say, its almost always here in Forum.  Its almost only  touchy  things, or striclty private converstions, we do mail.

Lets hope everything is going OK for you, your mother cat, and your unborn kittens.

Good luck!

ps, now I managet to get the pic magnified, and now I see its her read end, and something is happening.

But I still dont see what is happening.   I hope its the beginning of labor.  Its time for it.

Is that three kittens I see here?  A tortie and two ginger?  They look to be a good size too!    Fingers crossed all is well and momma cat is recovering and managing with her new kittens.  I am going to be off line for a few days but I will be thinking of your fur family and hoping all is well now the kittens have arrived.  I'll be checking in for an update as soon as I get back home and have access to my computer.
