Hey everyone I've been reading this for advice through the whole of her pregnancy
She has been to the vets and had her pregancy confirmed she's a 1st time mum we found her in my bathroom about 2 and a half months ago, I don't have any idea when the kittens are going to make an arrival she's gone very much like a rugby ball and is sleeping ago she is still eating but not as much (but don't think she's very fond on kitten food) we have been able to feel the kittens moving and kicking and keep hearing a noise from her belly that sounds like water, was wondering how Long she has left and she's not been hiding getting worried she's going to have them on the sofa or my bed
Thank you :) x

She sounds like she will have them very soon.

Have you set up a nesting box for her? The easiest way to make sure she has the kittens where you want her to is to make the nesting box as inviting as possible.  Since she is very close, you can also keep her in the room you want her to give birth in going forward.

Good luck!!

Hopefully someone with experience will come on line soon:  all I know is that when contractions happen you can feel her belly tighten and her ears flatten because she is straining to push.

all I know is that when contractions happen you can feel her belly tighten and her ears flatten because she is straining to push.
Also, the breathing gets quicker and or more strained. Fluids come from behind, often from several different sources - it may be messy.

In the beginning she may wander unruly around, lick herself much...

Most cats dont scream.

Some of the signs may be because of precontractions, which are common.  But pushing and fluinds are for the real thing.

I will give some links in a minute.

Most of these links have been readied by our forumist  Red Top Rescue:

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

If she wants you to rub her tummy, do so.  It helps them to proceed.   :)    Im not joking, its not only for pleasure, it helps hormones too.

Its quite natual there comes more blood into the tissues - they shall be working very hard soon.  Some red colored discharges may also come.

But if she is bleeding for real it isnt good no.

Unfortunately this is not really a normal symptom of pregnancy, no.  I am not sure what could be going on but am glad you have booked a vet appointment.  Is the pooping normally?

yes, its quite probable.

How is it going?  You wrote this message 27 hours ago, so it is enough with time for a delivery too.

Good luck!

ps.

There is another possible reading... Even if it sounds grossly.

IF she is not just a little smaller, but apparently done with pregnancy - this mean she already delivered / aborted.  And either hid the kittens (alive or dead) or had eaten them up - they often do with aborted or dead borne.   And in this case, you wont hardly notice any rests or telltale  tracks left - the only sign will be she is apparently not pregnant anymore.

Which it is, you see being there, and please report to us!
