My 10 yo Smokey has arthritis.  She has been on cosequin for yrs, but don't think it's helping  Am looking at Adequan or "natural" products Vetionx or Agile joints.  Anyone heard or had experience w any of these.  I'd appreciate hearing good and bad.  Thank you.

Hi I haven't info for you on this but was wondering how your cat's weight is? Every extra pound make arthritis worse.....

Adequan made the biggest difference in an arthritic cat I had.  She had diabetes and kidney failure as well, and the Adequan did not affect her blood sugar or kidney values.

She is 13lb, was 11lb when we got her 8 years ago. Her bro is 15lb. I know losing weight would help, but it's hard to get her to play. She gets 1/4 cup dry and 1/4 canned wellness core indoor daily.
Peaches, did you try anything besides Adequan?
Thank you both

I highly recommend Adequan. My cat Cali has severe arthritis in her lower spine and thanks to weekly Adequan injections she can jump again and she started grooming her back end again. Before the Adequan I was starting to question her quality of life.

If you switch to 100% wet then there will be less carbs and she will lose weight.

I tried Cosequin first, but didn't see much difference in her.  I also got her a heated pet bed and made sure she was not overweight.

Yeah lots of carbs in dry.  Even getting a pound off her would help....
