I will try to be brief..
I am trying to relocate a small colony (3 cats).
Last 2 weeks there is a new cat I see coming to eat from my feeding station ...well I start
the trapping to relocate the 3 ferals.. Guess who gets caught? Yes the new guy. Already neutered and declawed. No microchip.
I am trying to find his owners right now.

So if nobody contacts me, what should I do ?
Release him back-so he can return to his home, but risking the fact the he is abandoned, or
Try to find a new home, if I can't find a new home, I'll have to release him with the other 3 ferals and risking the fact that he might really have an owner and changing his life for the worst..

I am at lost here.

Thanks any advice is really appreciated.

There is a site called petfbi.com where you can post about lost/found pets.  I would also put up fliers in your area or even go door to door.  Since the boy is declawed it is NOT a good idea for him to be outside.  It will be hard for him to hunt and he will have no way to protect himself.  He will most likely not last long.  If you cannot keep him, please try to find him a good indoor only home.

I am in Canada. I've posted on a similar website and put up fliers. I have one lady who might be interested in taking him through an ad I posted on kijiji (like craiglist).

My fear is that he already has a home and I am sort of kidnapping him....

You could put some posters up in the area you found him, just in case anyone is looking for their lost cat.

What kind of condition was he in when you found him? Well fed? Any sign of fleas or worms? You can usually tell how long they've been out on their own by how healthy they are.

Yes he is well fed and healthy.
I have put up posters where I found him.
Either he is recently lost/abandoned or simply and indoor/outdoor cat. I am going to wait a bit more. Why dont people identify their cat ?!

 Drives you crazy, doesn't it?

Either way, a declawed cat shouldn't be outside. He can't defend himself or use his claws to climb if he needs to escape from a dog or anything else that might chase him.

I'd keep him inside for now and hope someone calls to claim him.

Nobody claimed him, but I found a foster family through a rescue for him :).

But I just caught a new cat.. Again, this one too is friendly but skinny. She seems well, except her belly seems a bit hard (firm).
Any idea why ?

It could well be parasites... or pregnancy.. any number of things.

She really needs to be taken to a vet ASAP.

I was supposed to bring her on Tuesday. But she escaped. I don't know how, I am so angry at myself for letting this happened. And this is not where I caught her-new territory (even though she was also a new cat on her previous territory). Do you think she will hang around where she escaped ? I always leave
Out food.
