I lost one of my tomcat Wah Wah yesterday. He is an outdoor cat who we took care and fed for about two years. We provided him

with all the delicious yummy meals and he is always asking for more=)

I can't believe he is taken away from us too soon.

I feel bitter, angry and guilty all at the same time. It all happen late last night. My sister came home from work and

found him lifeless near the sidewalk near a car.  I was asleep and pop out of my bed after receiving the news. I can't believe it. I just

fed him some meat bits treat around 10:30pm. He has this very unique habit.  Mornings he prefer sleeping in and not wanting any

of his nibble. But when it comes to dinner time. Oh, boy...he jump for joy. He will be the first one by the door and making that meow sound.

When you are running a little late with his dinner, he get alittle antsy and would let you know. He is one adorable little kitty.

I'm sorry for feeling so bitter and angry because I believe someone ran him over. He always like to hang out and relax on the sidewalk in

front of our house. I always get nervous and anxious about it. But since he is an outdoor cat and has a mind of his own. We didn't want to lock him

up and not let him enjoy life. We let him enjoy his quiet time there at night. Now I feel so guilty that this freedom cause him his life.

I think that night my cat Wah Wah was not so lucky and was struck by them with one of their cars. They have alot of visitors and would often park in our

front of our house. I believe Wah Wah fell asleep near the tire and was ran over.

I just needed to vent. I feel so sad and angry today. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, the guilt and the grief seems unending at times. You know Wah Wah would never have been happy locked up, sometimes we have to make the decision about 'quality' of life, not 'quantity'. I tried to keep my Casper indoors after my precious Chrissy was killed, but he was so miserable for months that it was heartbreaking to watch him. So now he's happy again, and I love to watch him racing down the driveway, but I know in my heart there will come a day when he could be hit too, it is gut wrenching. You provided him with his treats and love, and I'm sure he loved you in return. Please know you did the best you could do, and providing him with your love (and his much appreciated treats!) was felt by him and treasured in his heart. Bless you for loving so much to hurt so bad. RIP beautiful Wah Wah!

Thank you Di and Bob,

Your kind words and response made me feel alot better. My heart still aches everytime I think about Wah Wah. I wish he could have

stay on Earth for alot longer.

Yes, the guilt and grief seems unending at times. But thank you for helping me understand that Wah Wah would have never enjoyed life

as he would now if he was locked indoor. He got the chance to enjoy all the freedom of the outdoor...relaxing on the green grass, sunbathing, running around, hunting at

late hours of the night. It made him happy and it what matter the most.

Thank you!=)

I'm very sorry about your loss of WahWah. His life was cut short, but he knew what it was like to be loved and cared for. Hopefully that's some consolation for you.

RIP, sweet boy. :rbheart:
