For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed that I can perform the literal meaning of skywalking; i.e walk in the sky. It's a feature that exists regularly in my dreams. It even feels real, as in, it doesn't happen automatically, but I have to work it. To start off, I jump and pedal my legs as if I'm riding a bike. Usually that does the trick, but sometimes I would "fail" and I'd fall to the ground again. Once I'm in the air moving, I can pretty much go anywhere. I have to keep pedaling though, or I'll lose speed and eventually fall to the ground -- just like flying a plane. Pedal upwards to gain height, pedal forwards to gain speed. Pedal occasionally to maintain velocity. I also have to watch that I don't slam into buildings. So far that hasn't happened.

The farthest I've traveled by skywalking was from Hokkaido in Japan to the eastern coasts of Russia. It was scary because of all the body of water in between, and I couldn't stop to "rest". Today's dream was helping the police pursue two kidnappers who had taken a 5-year-old boy. I was skywalking (skyrunning, really) to chase them because the police had to obey traffic laws and I didn't. I got parallel to the vehicle, grabbed the boy from the back seat, and "flew" away just in time before the vehicle hit the highway barrier and crashed into a field.

I had no idea what happened next because I woke up to a very painful ribs and a wet nose on my face. Someone has decided to park himself on me.

What things have you dreamt about regularly?

I've had dreams like that! I only had to push off with my legs, though, and up up up I'd go! I remember wondering why I didn't do it when I was awake, it was so easy to do.  It was flying not walking, though, but always exhausted when I woke up. I remember once flying to the top of a ferris wheel and dropping into a seat, I also visited my parents in the house I grew up in. I was floating right under the ceiling in the living room and tried to get my father's attention but he wouldn't look up. I remember seeing his round bald spot on the top of his head, lol. Years ago I asked for the out of body dreams to stop and they did.

I dream a lot about searching for lost cats, mostly for the sweet kitties I've had during my life who have passed away. Sometimes I find them (SO happy!) but usually I don't. The last few years I've been dreaming quite a bit about flood waters rising and there's no where to go.

YES! Yeah, it's more like flying, I'm not actually pedaling the whole time, just to gain the initial momentum, and after that it's just momentum that's carrying me forward and upward. I can go pretty fast too! I think my trip from Hokkaido to Russia, in real time, would be about a few hours.

I often dream that I am at a fancy party with all kinds of delicious foods.

I practice lucid dreaming; I bought a book and got pretty good at it, but I have been lazy lately.  When I do have lucid dreams, it's almost always flying.
