Hello! I have recently joined this sight, I wanted to connect with fellow cat owners to help me make the best decisions for my cat Molly. Molly is an orange short hair and is 7 years old. Last Monday, she went to the vet to have a tooth out (she ended up having to get two pulled). after her surgery, we went to pick her up and the vet told us she was starting to have a reaction to the opiate medication they gave her. Her temp shot up to 40.9 and we had to take her from the vets to the emergency animal clinic, she stayed there for about 5 hours, they cooled her down and gave her a few shots to help with the reaction. Anyways, it was pretty much the most terrifying experience for me, and I never want to put my baby through that again! So I am hoping to connect with people to learn tricks on how to keep her teeth healthy! And also information that may help enrich her life :)

Hi and welcome!

If you're looking for information, you've definitely come to the right place.
I have no experience with dental problems in cats, but I know there are many people in the Health forum that are very willing to help you, and also, try searching the forums, because there have been plenty in the past!

Do you have a picture of your cat?

I have 2 red tabbies, Anyon (male) and Eleni (female) and they are almost 9 months old now!

I'll see you around.

Welcome to TCS

That does sound scary! You've come to the right place for both advice and support through such problems. If you ever have any cat health-related question, here's a link to the cat health forum -

http://www.thecatsite.com/f/4/cat-health

There's lot to do to just celebrate our love for cats, hang out together and just have fun too though
You can create a cat web page for Molly here, or create a web album for her in the gallery. There's usually one or two contests going on too, often with prizes, and we now have some fun quizzes to try as well, like this one. Or you can just hang out in the cat lounge and and chit chat.
