Bile vomit, bloody discharge from eye, strange breathing when purring

My cat Callie is a short haired almost 5 year old, spayed. Up to date as of 2 years ago. Night before last she started vomiting clear green, sometimes foamy bile. At least 10 times since then.

She has always had mild irritation in her eye, vet said it wasn't a problem just a genetic condition. That same eye swelled yesterday and had some bloody discharge.

This morning I noticed her breathing sounds odd when she's purring. I plan to take her in as soon as vet opens this morning but I'd like to know what to expect. We don't have a lot of money right now so if it's going to cost a lot I don't know what we'll do.

Any tips/advice appreciated. I will keep checking back throughout the next few hours.

Sorry to hear about your cat.
Off the top of my head: any chance she ate/drank something she shouldn't have. Is she indoor/outdoor cat?

She's only indoors. Always been only indoors. I have a 7 year old cat who is also only indoors. I highly doubt she got into anything, I've got 2 toddlers home all the time so my house is baby/cat proof. Kids crackers or cereal maybe but that's it.

Let's see. I've caught her trying to eat plastic before but I always take it away. I've seen her try to eat some recently as well but I don't think she actually swallowed any.

I also have a bird, but he's strictly caged. He's a Meyer's parrot.

I'm glad you're taking her to the vets. Vibes and prayers.
What was in/on the plastic?
Is she pooping/peeing/eating?

I caught her chewing on the plastic cereal bag. Previously I've caught her trying to eat a zip lock bag. I know she's not eating but she's been trying to drink, although that might be what's causing her to vomit back up the bile. She seems slightly dehydrated but not bad. I don't know if she's peeing or pooping, with my toddlers running around I only have one place for cat box and both cats use it. I guess I'll go dig through it though see if I see anything off.

She's drinking to try to relieve the stomach bile (acid) problem. The water helps dilute the stomach bile on its way back up and is easier on the cat's throat. Do not refuse water, esp. if she's dehydrated. Good luck at the vet. Let us know how it goes.

Well it doesn't sound good. Possibly a foreign object and if that's the case we have to put her to sleep because surgery is too expensive. She's treating her eye because that's a separate problem. Giving her anti nausea medicine and bactrim to coat her throat/intestine just in case it's something that can come out.

The sound from purring is because her esophagus is messed up from repeat vomiting. The reason she thinks foreign object - string or something similar - is because she's acting semi normal and no obvious pain or tenderness, and the amount of vomit is a lot.

So we're waiting. Hoping she gets better.

No... I don't have anything laying around that could be seen on xray. She talked about one w contrast. But said since we can't afford surgery anyway it wouldn't be worth it

Well I'm worried about her. She hasn't vomited again since an hour before the vet. So I thought she was getting better. But tonight I'm snuggling with her and she won't purr. It normally only takes a second for her to purr, but it's not happening. Additionally, when I rub down her back she doesn't lift her butt up into the air like normal. She's not even acknowledging that I'm petting her. I'm going to guess it's a bad sign :/
