Maybe she saw a cat or other animal (fox) outside?
Ritz respects deer unless they get really close to the garden/window and then she acts intimidated. Rabbits and chipmunks, well, she wants to eat but is just curious.
But foxes or the rare stray cat: she goes back and forth from window to window and is intensely interested, focused.
I'm not sure cats get angry--they certain get afraid/fearful.

I volunteer at a cat sanctuary, and there is a cat (super friendly, very jealous in nature) who eats when he is mad and eats when he is happy.

Maybe she is sick?

She was darting back and forth at windows but acting like she wanted a pet then lashing out with great big pupils ( like a crazy person). Then howling for food, soooo wierd.

I think something spooked her.
If she is eating/peeing/pooping normally, then I'd just monitor the situation. Close some blinds, play soft music.
If she is NOT e/p/p normally, I'd take her to the vets.
Some cats (people....) get quiet when they don't feel well; other cats/people get angry, mean.

I thought she might be mad because I just got back from taking boy cat to vet (she hates him and I probably smelled like him)

That can explain a lot: she picked up the smell on you and the boy cat--who probably had some smells from all the other cats/dogs at the vets.
You might try putting a little vanilla extract or lavendar on each cat so they both smell the same. I read that helps.

I agree with Ritz, it does sound like something might have spooked her. Is this still going on, or has she calmed down? If this goes on for awhile, then a you will need to consult the vet and see if there's anything physical which might be troubling her. Once physical issues are ruled out, maybe one of these stress-defying strategies could help -

Does she hate going to the vet?    Maybe she's afraid she has to go to the vet too.      My late cat once freaked out when he saw me taking my little one to the vet.   Growling at me and such.  I always figured it was because he feared he was having to go next.

I think she hates me because I stopped letting her out. Now when she sees something outside she gets so agitated and mad at me. She still sleeps with me though.

That's most likely it, it'll pass if that's the case just shown her you love her.
