I want a fountain for my cats to hopefully encourage them to drink more water .

Do you have a water fountain for your cats ?

If so  what brand  ?

Do your cats drink from it often ?

Is it quiet ?  Easy to clean ?

Please share your experiences .

Heyyy :) I have catit fresh and clear water fountain. It did encourage my kitten to drink more water but still not very much. It's just lying there unused most of the time. And yup it's super quiet. The base and filter are easy to clean but the dome needs a little more work but still relatively easy to clean :) I would recommend buying a water fountain though because it keeps fresh and clean water running all the time for your cat unlike still water in a bowl :)

I thought I had some pretty brave cats but I bought 3 different kinds and they were afraid of all of them and wouldn't drink. I have older cats though....younger ones are more adventurous probably.

I have a Drink well 360 and my cats LOVE it. The older one always liked drinking from a faucet and no longer bugs us to do that. The younger one will not drink out of the 'stream', but drinks out of the base. It can be noisy unless you adjust the flow, but both my cats drink more water now which I like. I think any of the fountains are great, they definitely encourage drinking.

I  was not sure how my cats would like a fountain so I bought this cheap fountain at Petco just to try out .

I don't want to pay too much for one till I know they will use it .

It is super quiet and very simple .  My cats are curious but I have not seen them drink from it yet ..

Note : I bought mine in -store as it is out of stock online

We have this fountain: http://www.thecatsite.com/products/catit-design-senses-fountain-w-filter/reviews/4364

Easy to clean, quieter than other fountains we've tried (really only sounds like something gently sizzling when it gets too low)

When the cats were eating dry, or when Kismet gets extra kibble, she drinks from it a lot but she was always a good drinker even from still water bowls. Mo used to lie in the sink and drink from the faucet, and he was definitely intrigued by it and he's the one who really needs more water, but now that he's eating all wet, he's pretty indifferent to it.

We have a plastic cat mate fountain, but it is currently out of use as I do not use plastic anymore for my cats.

It is a silent fountain and very fun for my three cats, who really enjoyed splashing water everywhere and dropping their toys in the fountain. I don't really think they drank the water, though, but that is because I always add water to their food.

With three cats, I had to wash the fountain every other day and change the filter every 2-3 weeks.
