Hi I've never been posted on this site before but I've read alot of things on it because I'm always paranoid avout my kitten who has been sick before. I just got my 8 month old kitten neutered tuesday morning and they sent him without a cone and he was liking himself so I called the vet Wednesday morning and they told me to get a cone so I bought one and he's had it on ever since I came home from work wed. Night late and noticed one testicle or used to be is more swollen than the other and pussing a light brown color the picture actually I think looks worse than it does in real life but I'm really concerned I'm so paranoid. I love my kitty! Any advice??

I second calling the vet. Take him in for an exam. Discharge of pus is not good; it indicates infection.

You could bring the picture in or download it to your vet, they might be able to tell you if it's necessary for further action without exposing him to more trauma. Light brown may be old blood, but your vet could definitely help you more. Good luck!

With the swelling and the skin looking so badly stretched, I would take him to the vet immediately.  It has got to be terribly painful, for one thing, and there is most likely an infection brewing for another.

Frankly, I'm a little dismayed that your vet did not send you home with a cone.  Most cones that I've seen at the pet stores are made for dogs, and are too large or heavy for cats.  Hopefully your vet will give you a break, since this is an immediate issue with the work they did.

That does not look normal. There is not supposed to be that swelling and it's supposed to look like your kitty just has 2 empty bags, flat and containing nothing. I had one kitty once with a small amount of discharge that was white but the pouch remained flat and I was told that was normal. Back then none of the vets recommend cones. Your kitty needs a return appt with the vet it looks infected.

Thanks I did take him this morning they cleaned it and gave him antibiotics and said it's infected. But no charge thankfully. Hopefully he gets better soon!

Keep a close eye on him and tell them if the problem gets worse.
