... you have your eye on an item for quite a while now, debating whether or not to drop quite a bit of money on it. You wait, and then you finally convince yourself that you've waited long enough, thought it through, tell yourself it's not an impulsive purchase if you've waited this long. So you buy it.

Two days later, it goes on sale for 60% off.

Alot of dept. stores here give you a week and if the price goes down they give you the reduced price. Just stop in with your original reciept.

Cory, you can also return the item with your sales receipt. And then simply buy it again since it's now on sale. I'd go talk to the store manager and see if they're willing to help you. If not, return it, then buy it on sale. That's what I would do.

They took it back and processed it as a return and allowed me to exchange it for another one. Good thing I didn't remove the tag (it's a nice earthy-brown sports jacket). Seems like it's much easier to just credit the discount to my card, but I guess that messes up with their inventory pricing or something.

Anyway, I got the new price now!
