Best Cat Door

Hello everyone! 

I'm looking for a cat door.  I'm a first-time buyer and have come to see that there are many, many cat doors on the market.  Can anyone recommend a good one please?

I Do NOT want one were the cat has to wear a special collar for the door to open or has to be micro chipped.  I will be installing into the man-door of my garage, so that my outdoor cat can come and go out of the garage as she pleases.  I would; however, like one that I can lock or close, so that my cat can not get out at night.  I like her to be inside at night time.  I've also read that if the door has a flap, and it is not clear, it is more difficult to get the cat to use it, as they can not see what is on the other side of the flap.  Any truth to that? 

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.  I've looked at so many cat doors on line that I am confused.  Thanks for any and all of your help!!

Have never used a kitty door before as my cats are indoor only and my outside kitties are ferals. So can't help with recommendations. I do know of stories, though, of other stray cats coming in and out of people's cat door even a few raccoon stories. Raccoons can become very brave when they know there is a food source!!

Hopefully someone will come along with some more ideas for you.

I never use this to the outdoors. it's  let her from the master bedroom to the house when we are sleeping w the door locked. My husband put

a little latch on it. 

I found one and ordered it, but may be returning it, as I have brought Marvin inside this past week, and introducing her to my two dogs has gone a lot more smoothly than I would have ever imagined.  I think I'm going to be able to turn her into an indoor cat after all!!  Thanks for your reply, though.
