I got adopted my cat through a friend, he doesn't have any papers. He is most definitely a Domestic Longhair, and not a purebred of any sort.

I am just curious as to what he might resemble, or if anyone sees any breed similarities? He has an extremely needy and social personality. Very much so a lap cat that loves to follow you around squeaking at you for attention. He constantly purrs, and VERY loud haha.

Through some research my guesses are Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cat, Siberian, Ragamuffin and someone once told me they saw some Turkish Angora. These are just guesses, I am no cat expert.

What are your opinions? See anything that might help me figure out his history? I'll love him regardless of the answer, just a curious first time cat owner.

Hard to tell without seeing better photos of the body shape and especially the ears and the coat style. While the paws are sorta Maine Coony the ears are Forest catty so I just go with Domestic Long Haired.

I adore both Maine Coons and Norwegian Forest cats and an tell the pure breds apart (usually).  He clearly is a love with a magnificent tail!

Congratulations on your new kitty!

I can see the Angora connection from his furry tail and flanks  though they tend to have a more slender body.   Can`t really see a fit with the others.  Forest Cats have a distinctive straight nose profile where all other cats have that dip in the bridge of the nose.   They also have long tufts of fur on the bottom between their toes for warmth.   And the top coat of fur is long and flat to repel snow and water - not bushy.

I should have mentioned that he normally has VERY long hair in his pads and between his toes, but I usually shave it and thin out the tops of the paws so he doesn't track litter.

Here are two of his face. He doesn't really have any ear tufts.

I keep trying to take one of his body, but he likes to flop down and roll around by my feet. This was our best attempt, lol.
