Need some more advice. You all are so good at it!! Since Charlie is on prescription food, he and Chester can't eat together anymore. So, when we give Charlie his food in the bathroom, we set Chester's food out in the kitchen (usual place). The problem is, he will act like he is starving for it, crying and such, but once it's down there, he oftentimes will not eat. He is pretty skinny anyway, and I am afraid he isn't getting enough food. He acts hungry all the time, but won't eat. Do you think it's because he is used to eating with Charlie?

Maybe. you can try putting up gates or making a mesh screen and putting it in a doorway and letting the cats eat on either side. it might help.

That would be my suggestion as well, or even feed them next to the closed door so they can smell each other through the crack.

good ideas guys. I will try feeding them on opposite sides of the door and see if that works.
