I haven't been on here much lately, too much going on, and I doubt anyone remembers Cindy's story. It was at least a month before her cancer was finally diagnosed through surgery as being mast cell. She had chemo and was doing well, but in January started losing weight and having other problems. We put her on a feeding tube because she wasn't eating much, and we got her weight stabilized, but not much over 5 pounds, but she was doing well. A couple weeks ago she started losing again. Throwing up a lot. We've tried different foods and are now back to Recovery, giving her a little bit about every 3 hours or so during the day. She still spends time in the window, sits on/with DH, interacts with Swanie (our other cat), but not as much. Sleeps a lot more. She doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain yet, and vet has told us there is pain medicine we can get for her when it does get bad. We are just devastated. We love her so much, and she's the sweetest little girl you could imagine. I hope we can get her through this without her having to be in too much pain and with us staying strong (I haven't been very strong so far, just crying all the time). But she did beat the odds. When we had the surgery and chemo, they warned us it would probably only buy her 3 to 6 months, and we've had with us for nearly 2 years. It's time to feed her now, and I'm about to start crying again. Please say a little prayer that she doesn't have to suffer too much with this.
