Moving Feral and elderly cats

I have the same issue of wondering if I should trap and move my feral cat, who we call Pretty.  She was a trap spay and release cat that ended up in our yard a few years ago.  My older male indoor cat Spencer is very attached to her and goes outside to see her all day and night and hardly ever comes in anymore.

We are moving 10 minutes north in a month.  I am trying to figure out if I should move Pretty, and also what we should do with Spencer. who is 17 and in the final stages of kidney disease.  He is not so sick that he requires immediate euthanasia, but I feel like the stress of the move might kill him. 

If I take one I feel I should take both.  Or maybe I should just evaluate each situation separately.  Any advice?  I also have a 7 year old dog that really stresses the feral cat and so I am not sure how easy it would be to make the transition to an indoor cat for her. 

I would take both. If you have a shed or spare room or garage at the new place, it would be ideal for getting them used to their new territory. No matter what, the dog and whatever cat you take will have to be confined while they become acclimated. It would really be cruel to leave them - they have come to depend on you for food and shelter. Depriving them of that support at this late stage would be awfully hard on them.
