Hi,

I would appreciate any answers I can get.

I got my kitten back in late August from a pet shop and she was said to be 9 weeks, but I think she is younger then that. She is a dilute tortie kitten. She seems to be quite healthy, eating a lot and she is extremely playful. But ever since a day ago she has had diarrhea, yesterday she had diarrhea the entire day and it was runny getting it all over the place. Now since this morning she has been leaking a stinky yellowish white fluid all over the place, no more diarrhea. It isn't very often but it comes. She is also getting very stinky and i suspect that she has been laying on the yellow-white fluid without knowing it. I'm not really quite sure what to do. After googling remedies for diarrhea yesterday i gave her a small bit of fibre sprinkling it on her dry kibble food. I'm positive she got into something that was on the floor and the floor has been cleaned, and i'm not quite sure what to do.

Your kitten needs to be seen by a vet. Kittens get dehydrated quickly and can go down hill very quickly.

The yellow liquid IS diarrhea. The color could mean food is moving through her system too quickly and/or could be indicative of coccidia.

Offer her canned food with a tablespoon or so of water added to it several times a day to help keep her hydrated. (Dry food absorbs moisture from her body in order for it to be digested and can make her dehydrate quicker.)

BUT, she needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible.
