Last night I was playing with kitty with one of those toys on a string. Flinging it all around as she would pounce it. And we did this for maybe a good hour and she was panting a little. It was so cute.

And when i say pounce I mean a failed sneak attack. She'll like lie down and then creep up to it and start pawing it at. There were a couple times she snatched out of mid air and my hands because I wasn't expecting her to nab it. She was quite enjoying jumping over me, on and off the bed. She is not very spacially aware and almost fell off once. :)

My kitten does this all the time even after ten minutes or so of play. I was worried after researching online but the vet said as long as she doesn't pant while just being idle and it's not labored panting it's ok. I check her gums too to make sure they're not purple from lack of air. I agree it's cute and reminds me of their wild side.

Our oldest kitty would exhaust herself fetching toys as a kitten. She just loved playing fetch! We'd throw them out of the living room and into the hallway and she'd run, pick it up and bring it back. It was super cute. If she'd jump on my lap to deliver the toy I could sometimes feel her little heart beating faster :-) She grew out of it though...

We didn't make our puss pant, but the weather sure did.  It got upto 40degrees celcius on our patio a summer or two ago, & our part MC was really panting so we had to bring him in put him on the cool tiles, fetch cool water & direct the air-con onto him.  He recovered quickly & the next few days he'd seek the air-con on his own & lie in the draught.  Our 38degC is your 100degFarenheit.

My bro's cat went to sleep in a hot place once & died there.  She was up in the bow of a boat under a tin roof only a few feet apart.  They didn't know she was there until it was too late.  Sad.  Just like animals being locked in cars I guess.

awww :(

i've accidently shut Sandi in my room all day before, she was under the bed and I didn't realize until I got home from work and she wasnt there to greet me.

She wasn't too happy with me that night. So I gave her wet food as an apology.

But that's not my car. and the only danger would have been her peeing or pooing on my carpet, but that would only be bad for me

Years back I had one of my kitties (Lil' Jag) panting while playing with Da Bird (she was a kitten at the time). She hasn't done it since as she became older (she's now 10 years old.)

They both pant when we play with the laser pointer. It's so funny to watch them do that. [emoji]128516[/emoji][emoji]128516[/emoji][emoji]128516[/emoji][emoji]128516[/emoji]

My cat falls off the my bed all the time. She falls off my bed, the window seal, chairs, her bed, I call her my drunk ballerina. She pants when we play with this one toy she has with a string. She jumps and does double backflips and triple spins, she has a lot moves for a cat. She just can't sleep with out falling off, well everything!

Sandi has jumped into the window before. Quite like a person walking into the sliding glass door.

And slid off the tv stand because she was being a brat and wouldn't let me clip her nails, and she couldn't get traction and her feet went out from under her.

She let me clip her nails after that.

With laser pointers she just sits on the ground below the dot and meows.

Does the same thing when there's a bug on the way out of her reach or on the back patio
