So we switched to blue buffalo indoor health a few days ago .. All our cats have horrible stinky diarrhea ! They still eat, drink and act their normal selfs but my god the diarrhea is just nasty!! I've been looking at reviews online and I see some have issues but others don't .. Our cats were pooping normal before but since giving it to them it started .. It's been a few days but no change ... Anyone else have issues with it? Can anyone recommend a good cat food?!

What were they eating before, and can you go back to it to give their tummies a chance to recover? Since it's all of them, I wonder if maybe you got a bad bag (if you're talking about dry food)?

I like Petsmart's Authority Sensitive for sensitive-tummy kitties.

I assume you added the new food to their old food little by little?

My cat had issues with Blue Buffalo as well; the wet and dry. I slowly tried to switch her to Blue, but in the 3rd week, decided to stop completely because she had consistant, horrible, runny stools. Poor thing. I took her off it, and noticed a difference right away! She now eats Halo (dry and wet), with a variety of wet brands including; Wellness, and Nature's Variety.

Not sure why the Blue Buffalo didn't agree with her, but I've heard the same from other cat owners. Weird.

A lot of Blue Buffalo foods -- both canned and dry -- have potato, a starchy filler that can cause problems. (One of ours vomits if she eats foods with potato.)

'Indoor Health'. What does that mean? I guess this is a lower calorie food for indoor cats that can't exercise like outdoor cats. How do they do low-cal - probably same as human 'diet' formulas... With artificial ingredients. I would be suspect of this stuff.

@irishma, you are not alone.  This Blue Buffalo problem has been going on a long time.  It is inconsistent so they can't recall anything.  Vitamins sourced in China are suspect.  Factory mistakes are suspect.  I my opinion, if there is this much going on, even if 50% of it is unrelated, I just stay away from the brand until such time (if ever) that there stop being reports about it.  In the meantime, you should add your experience to the growing list!  If enough people report, MAYBE they can find the problem.    It stated out as a good little company but then was eaten by a larger fish and quality started to go downhill.  Same old story, happens all the time in Pet Foods.

I switched to Indoor health last week, no issues. If you look at my post history youll see that my cats have had a ton of diarrea issues in the past.
