Pee drops on bed lately?

Hi all,

My 10 year cat uses her litterbox, with only 1 outside accident since I've had her for 1 year. Lately I noticed small drops of pee (that's what I assume they are) where she lies down on my bed in the mornings. Just a drop or two sometimes here and there, but my sheet is white so I can see it. But she passes a normal amount of urine in the litterbox daily. Is this cause for concern? Should I take her to the vet or no? How can I protect my bedding so I don't have to wash it every 2 days?

I would take her to the vet to get her checked for a UTI.

I took her to the vet. No UTI. Vet said the drops were likely anal gland secretion. BUT I'm not sure...because it doesn't smell bad and that's all I hear about anal gland secretions, how much they smell. Could it be anything else? Right now I just place 2 towels down where she sleeps on the bed since this is where I've found the drops.

In the past sometimes I thought she had farted, but it smelled like asparagus, could that be a sign it is anal gland secretions

Is anyone concerned about hygiene, like if she leaves the drops on a rug where I can't see it - then there is just anal matter sitting on the rug...makes me nervous to have children or babies crawling.
