Hi, I'm new to this site although I did a lot of creeping looking up info on pregnant cats and you all are so helpful and nice!

So a stray cat kinda adopted me and it turned out she was about to have kittens. I have 2 other cats and 2 dogs that she was okay with them while pregnant, a little hissing and paw hitting but not much else. The kittens are now 3 weeks old and she lets us near her kittens but she will hunt my other cats wherever they are and chase and attack them. She also hisses and bats under the door to the room she's in even though my other cats aren't even there. She is so sweet and calm otherwise so is this just maternal aggression? I would love to keep her however if this is going to be like it is now I can't. Has anyone experienced this?

She just wants to protect her kittens. She should settle down as they get older.

Agreed.  She is a GREAT Mom looking out for her kittens!  Be careful of redirreceted aggression-Say she is upset about the cats outside door and you touch her and she takes it out on you.  I had a cat in labor get up and attack my 40lb dog who nudged the door open.
