Why hi there :)

I adopted my little girl back in February after deciding my apartment was too big and quiet after my husband moved. We're both military and stationed on separate coasts, but I'm getting out here soon. Anywho.

She turns 1 on the 30th :)

But she is very much a Torti. Very loud when she doesn't get her way, very loud at night (she will spend hours walking around meowing with one her toys on a stick, to make matters worse this one lights up and makes noise, really regretting buying it for that reason)

She'll be on lap I'll be petting her and not really paying attention till she gives a quick hiss, but she continues to stay on my lap. Go figure.
She knocks everything over. Drinks from the toilet when I leave the lid up. And takes quiet enjoyment in shredding papers I don't put up. And she'll only curl up and cuddle when I nap during the day, not at night.

But she is really the best.

Thank you. :)

I picked her because of how beautiful she was.

And she's so fluffy. All the fluffs.

I have a Tortie too. We adopted her last Feb. She was estimated to be 6 months old when we adopted her. Her foster Mom named her Dixie but we renamed her Amber. Her and her brother were barn kitties when they were taken in by a local rescue. She is long and sleek and I think needs to gain some weight. She is not really naughty at all. She rarely makes any nose at all. She is very active and can be known to run around playing in the middle of the night. Her and my younger kitten Twilight (not Trinity who is with her in the pic below) play together all the time chasing each other throughout the house up and down the stairs. I have noticed her doing something new though she will be playing with one of her toys and meowing loudly (loud for her anyway) Almost sounds like she's crying or upset.  When I first heard her doing this I wasn't sure who it was and asked my Daughter to check on who it was and if she was ok. And my daughter said she was playing with her ball. She is either very stand offish or very affectionate. She will go a day or so without wanting attention and then all of a sudden become very affectionate. I will wake up in the middle of the night surprised to see her snuggling with me. Mostly during the night  But it definitely doesn't happen every night or for the whole night.  When we come home she is always the first in line at the bottom of the stairs to greet us. I think she has taken to my 9 y/o Daughter a bit more than me.  She does get an attitude with the other two cats and will bat at them when I am preparing their food. We love her very much but are hoping that as she gets older she will become more affectionate.

She is so adorable!

I have heard of "Tortitude," and it really does explain so much.

My sister had a VERY "tortitude" kitty, and she loved that cat. She was quite a grouchy, spitty cat, but could be loving when she felt like it. I was always a little bit scared of her.

After the grouchy, spitty cat died (it was a great blow to my sister), another tortie kitty came along, just a stray, and of course what could be done, but to take her in?

She's so different from the previous kitty. She's got an attitude, but is very loving and sweet to humans. She's a small, stubby little thing, and is very much loved.

Everytime I walk in the door she's sitting there waiting, but then she runs over to her scratching post like "oh i wasn't waiting on you" then if i dont pick her up and give her cuddles she sits in my lap when I sit down on the couch.

Part of her tortitude may come from being a spoiled little brat, uh i mean spoiled little cat.
