Bitter sweet day as Min's ashes were delivered. Part of was so happy to finally have her "home" and part of me longed to hold her. Of course Mikki jumped up to "greet" her sister...(just curious I'm sure) but it still made me feel sad...but we are ok...we have Min home now where she belongs... and no suffering.

I am so sorry for your loss. When I saw these pictures, I began getting a little teary eyed. The loss of our own pets is just as hurtful as the loss of a loving family member. And yes, you have Min home. Maybe not physically,
Maybe not in body, but "spiritually". She's home. I have a huge soft spot for cats, so it easily breaks my heart when I read stories of cats crossing the bridge. I am sure you gave her a good life full love, and wonderful memories. That, no one could ever take away from you. I wish you nothing but the best, and Im sending positive thoughts your way. Your fur baby's memory will always be full of joy. Stay strong. And take care of yourself and Mikki.

I took a picture of the delivery box of Minnie's ashes yesterday as it was a sweet touch that they put her name on it with a lil heart...of course it made me cry. So I took the picture, then later when I looked at the picture look what appeared in the lower right corner! I drew a red circle around it. My lil angel??
I'll enclose a picture of Minnie as well so you can see what I am talking about :)

I see it! The eyes and what may possibly be the white fur on her chest! This is amazing

That's amazing! I truly believe it could be her trying to comfort you, the bond between you both is too strong to let death be an obstacle. Take comfort in knowing she is at peace now and will live on in your heart forever. Take care.....

Oh I love that envelope picture. I keep seeing my little Oscar in places too and I keep thinking it is him telling his daddy he is in a good place. These cats really take a piece of our heart with them, don't they!

I'll say! Today's task is picking out favorite pics for a collage to frame for her place on the shelf. Suppose I need to cut back on the 40 pics I want to use and narrow it to like five, ha.

Today I made a collage of a few pics online through Walgreen's site, then picked it up and found the perfect place for Min's "memorial".
For the back of the photo collage, I used the pink tank top I wore on her last day [emoji]128522[/emoji]. I collect Willow Tree angels and someone bought me the "kitty" one after Minnie passed, so that added to the display..as well as one I already had, holding a heart [emoji]128522[/emoji]. The lil black urn she came in, is just a small plastic box as I hadn't decided on a permanent one yet, but I'm kinda liking the simplicity of it, plus she was mostly black as well so it seems to fit. I put her lil hairband on top...she sometimes would "gift" it to me on my pillow, or my shoe, or play hairband hockey with it. I find OODLES of hairbands under the washer, refridgerator, etc. :) It was a peaceful day...and soothing to work on it.

Anyway, here's a picture of our TV stand, in which I used one of the shelves there for her special spot.

We had to go away last weekend and I felt bad because it was the first time Mikki would be all by herself (we had a cat sitter come in 3x a day) but today my husband saw this little red bump above Mik's eyebrow and he said "hmm I always thought those were from when Mikki and Minnie did their play wrestling". I kinda shrugged my shoulders thinking to myself... maybe Mik wasn't alone all weekend? [emoji]128521[/emoji] lol he read my mind and was like.."ummmm...no."

That is so thoughtful and beautiful.  I love the way you put all those items that meant something into her memorial.  I would have never thought about the fabric from the tank top, but that's brilliant.
