Odd dream- rambling inside.

Some point during the night, I had a vivid dream about me sharing a home with two of my high-school bullies (yes, I had bullies), Nichole and Renee. Some reason, this dream is sticking with me all day long and I am trying to make sense of it.

In the dream, These bullies continued to bully me in 'our' home. They'd unplug all electronics during the night and I'd wake up thinking its a black out. They destroyed all food in my fridge. Then suddenly, they scratched up my couch, broke lamps and shredded rugs, blaming it on my cat, Monet. I was thinking, "Monet doesn't scratch furniture like that.. he pricks furniture, not scratch horizontally like this.." Then I catch one of the bullies poisoning Monet's food. I grab Monet and ran out of the house with him. I find myself in a restaurant with him, where Cassie showed up. In the restaurant, both cats snuggled up to me, loving and doting with me.

At this point, I woke up, finding Monet curled up against my face, his head bumped against my forehead, sound asleep. This is something he's never, ever done before (At least to my knowledge!). I am wondering if Monet sensed my dream and came to comfort me and subconsciously I knew it and my dream incorporated it.

I honestly don't know why I am posting this here.. it's a rambling moment for me. but, some reason I wanted to share and see what you guys make of the dream? it kind of bothers me that my bullies showed up in my dream 14 years since high school

I get weird dreams like that.  It's usually due to feeling uneasy about something.  It may even be something unrelated.  It could be stress at work (feeling bullied at works?), or new neighbors, etc.  How it manifests in dreams may seem weird, but the dreams tell me that I'm feeling uneasy about something and in their own way let me try to deal with them.

I don't know what the dream would mean, but I bet Monet was comforting you.  I am amazed at how intuitive cats are.  

I had two bullies at work (Cindy and Mickie) and I hated my job. I retired 4 years ago but every night and I do mean every night I dream about my job and they are not pleasant dreams. It is getting so I hate to go to sleep anymore. I hope they end soon because I can't take much more of these dreams.

Gee that's got to be tough... Scared of dreams. Sounds like Nightmare On Elm St.

I agree. Monet was there for you. You probably were making some frightened sounds though when the bullies appeared in your dream and she may have picked up on that.
