Here's Callie- a feral playing with my feather toy!

I opened the door, started putting my fingers outside to see what Callie would do. She just sat there and stared at my hand..

I LOVE this picture- it really touched me when I saw her doing this... That's when I decided to put all 4 of my cats in the bedroom then opened the door to see what she would do next..

Looks quite promising to me! She will be in your arms in no time!

As the door was opened, I started moving my hand in front of the door to see what she'd do and to my surprise, she reached in with her paw toward my hand!!

Callie allowed me to touch her paw with my finger!!

Excellent! HIGH FIVE!!!!!!!!

LAST but not the LEAST of all, she walked into my apt for a min!! I left the door wide open, went and sat down on the couch with the dig camera and watched as she sniffed, sniffed, cautiously stepped in, took another step... another step.... snifff sniff.... 4th step.. 5th step.. sniff sniff then turned around and went outside!! I filmed this so i have to figure out how to make a still pic of this and when I do, I'll post it here for u guys to see.

The only thing I'm worried about is whether she has FIV since one of my ferals was diagnosed with FIV and had to be put to sleep so I don't want my 4 cats to get it so that's something I'll have to think about and decide what to do.

OMG!!! Pamela I am SO excited for you!!! Wow, you got to touch her paw?? Ophelia's been inside with us since she was about 6 weeks old, and I still can't touch her paw! LOL

What a great story, and such a pretty cat, It made my heart cry when I saw the photo of you touching her paw for thr frist time......These kittys want to be loved,I think that is why she followed you. She does like you. I really do love these stories you share about feral cats ...there the best....

OMGosh OMGosh those are such GREAT pics, Pamela!! It's so fantastic to hear all the progress being made, you are doing such a great job. Wow, I can't believe she came on inside! I love that pic of her paw and your finger - First Contact - how amazing is that.

Awwww... poor cautious kitty. She's hard to see because of the glass and the flash, but I can see how gorgeous she is in pic three and five. Those last two are really cute too.

Callie is gorgious! I love calicos (or torties, I never know which is which ) She reminds me of my Pollýanna.
