dental question in senior cat need advice

i was wondering if anyone had any advice...my senior cat is having dental issues , I cant get him to the vet until next week, is there anything i can give him to ease his discomfort until them? Its his front canines they are yellow and the gum line is red and pus

Give him plenty of water and soft food to eat, right now I wouldn't worry so much about calories, how healthy. etc. Give him what he wants, tuna, mashed hot dogs, meat baby food. I use Oratene oral care for cats, a liquid you put in their water. I haven't had issues since. You might want to call and ask to talk to the vet, they might have some ideas to help you.
