So my male cat Harley is only 3 months old! Well he is an indoor cat, he accidentally got out for literally like 10 seconds right outside our door and now he won't stop going to the door and meowing very loudly, sticks his paws under the door and I know he's to young to be in heat right, he's also been being really rough with us lately? I have no idea what the deal is (we aren't supposed to have animals here but he helps with my anxiety)

Is he fixed? If not, now is a good time and it will help, especially as he gets older.  In the meantime, be strong and in time he should slowly become less demanding.  And everytime he wants to go outside, give him an indoor play session with treats at the end, and it will help him convert his desire to go out with this new activity and reward.

My 5 month old did the same when I carried him outside because I wanted to show him outdoors.      I guess I probably shouldn't have done that.

Do you have a window he can sit in to look outside?  Not sure if you'd let him in the window since you mentioned you weren't supposed to have kitty but mine loves to sit and watch the birds.    Every once and awhile he still cries at the door but I usually just distract him with a toy.

He's displaying perfectly natural behavior for an unaltered male. At 3 months he's just starting to get the mating urge, it will get nothing but worse as time goes by. Do him a GREAT favor and get him neutered, it will save a lot of fights and abscesses. All of my males were up and normal within 24 hours of the operation, it takes the females a lot longer. As for him playing rough, mama and littermates teach babies how rough to play, if they are separated before 10-12 weeks they don't learn this and now you must teach him. Don't initiate rough play and if he  gets rough, slowly withdraw your hand and leave the room, giving him a 'time out'. Actually hissing at him and saying loudly 'NO' gets your point across too. Physical punishment does not work with kittens, it just makes them afraid of you, they don't crave acceptance like dogs do. Good luck and give him a kiss for me!

I have to disagree that this 3 month old kitten wants outside due to mating urges. He, like most young kittens, is going to be very curious and very active. I notice that many kittens go through a "rough play" phase between 3-5 months old...some, it takes a bit longer.

At this point, you have two options. Hold steadfast that he is going to be strictly indoor only and distract him with lots of interactive fun (Da Bird and Neko Flies are great options!) or, harness/leash train him so that he can have supervised time outside. If you choose the latter, know there will be no going back. You will need to take him outside on a daily basis (pending weather) and be alert when coming and going from outside (so that he doesn't dart out the door.) I know several members have trained their cat to only go outside when their harness is on.

Agree.   My 5 month old is not fixed yet (vet won't do it until he is 6 months) and nonstop playful, mischievous and often when I'm home for the day he cries constantly for me to play with him.  Only time I get a break is when he naps and after I feed him he's busy washing himself. lol.    He's been this way since I've had him.   He's a kitten so I figure it comes with the age.

He is not yet fixed! We did get him at a fairly young age, he was only a few days over 6 weeks and I knew that was to young for him to leave mommy but the owners did not want the kittens anymore so I got him so I could give him a good home! I noticed the other day when he was playing rough with my that his penis came out and I was actually kind of shocked!
Also he is aloud to sit in the back window since management does not go in the back very often!

If I were you, I would look into getting him fixed as soon as possible. He might be coming of age early. Its not common, but, its not uncommon either.

I have a total of 3 cats. My youngest cat he is 6 months old. I found him in the streets, and he has not yet been fixed. His appointment is next weekend to get fixed. The penis out is not a good sign.

When i first brought him home he was so loving and he was great. Just like my other two cats. But then i started to noticed that he was becoming more aggressive...and I would often find his penis out, when he's playing rough, or grooming himself. I didn't think anything of it, because I've never had a cat who was intact. My other two cats were fixed when they were adopted, by the shelter. Shortly after noticing him a few times with his penis out (like literally over night), his behavior changed completely. He now tries to mount my female cat. He yowls day and night wanting to be let out. He is quite affectionate still, and there are moments where he just wants to cuddle and be pet, but I can't even pet the poor fella..because petting excites him...

I'll start to pet him, he will purr, loudly, and then i'll noticed his penis is out. I stop petting him right away, because i don't want to excite him in that way, but as soon as i do, he becomes agitated, and he looks for my female cat to mount :( and he mounts her and tries to enter her, but of course, she doesn't allow it to happen.

for the past couple of weeks it has been super stressful where i live with having an intact male kitten. I'm counting down the days to when he gets fixed. Thankfully he has not sprayed yet, and i'm praying that he doesn't in between now and when he gets fixed.

You should look into getting your kitten fixed soon. He could be coming of age very early. Good luck with your kitten.
