Hello all,
I am unsure where to ask this, so health seems as good as any!
I have a cat who is mostly gray. She has lighter brown/white fur with gray spots on her belly. If you look close she is a tabby, but it is very hard to tell. Her belly fur has been looking a darker brown, almost red, lately. This is the only spot on her fur that is changing. Oh, and her spots seem to have diluted a bit too. She also seems furrier on her belly (hooray for me!!) I have a picture of her fuzzy stomach on here, showing her spots and lighter color, if interested. The lighter brownish fur is turning darker and redder. She is acting normal, maybe even a bit more playful. She is about 8 or 9 years old, fixed, and pretty hefty. I have been having much more strict control over her diet for the past few months. I also introduced just a bit of dry food back into her diet, as something to chew on while I am at work, and in case I return late. The rest is wet food. The wet food has not change in many many months. I don't think there is anything wrong with her, she just got her shots two months ago, and her blood work was done earlier this year. Everything was happy!
I am just curious, do cat's coats ever change, and if so, why? Or am I just losing my mind and thinking my gray cat is morphing into a brown fuzzier one?
Thanks a bunch for any information or similar stories!!!
