Okay everyone, I need some help here.

I've had my cat Ella for 8 years now, she's my baby, and best friend. When my husband, and I first met 2 years ago I was not able to have her with us. (It really broke my heart,) because his dog does not like older cats, for some reason she's only tolerated kittens. It's hard not having her here with me.

Now flash forward to roughly a month ago. Our neighbors barn cat gave birth to a litter of kittens. The mother was killed, and our daughters brought over the kitten that seemed to be the worst off, for me to try, and make her better. I indeed made her better, and got her back to good health! The agreement with my husband was that if I was to take care of the kitten I had to remember that she was barn cat, or I would have to find her a home. (Because I would keep every kitten I've ever found!! Lol.) Now that she is doing great my husband has sort of changed the options. A long time ago we did both agree that we only want 2 house pets at a time. We just feel it's best.

What I am facing now is that, I can find a home for Lydia. (Who I have fallen in love with,) and we will bring Ella here, or I can keep Lydia, and Ella will stay with my mom. I really love them both a lot, but I miss my Ella a ton!!

What do I do??

Get rid of the dog and keep both cats. Easy peasy!

Try to keep all three? If it really does seem like too much, continue to try and find a home for the kitten. She out of all of them will have the best chance at adoption!

My husband will not get rid of Maya, and I wouldn't ask him to.

I didn't plan on keeping Lydia, she was pretty much just dropped on my doorstep my the kids, because they know I know who runs a no-kill shelter out of her home. Which is where she will be going if I decide to bring Ella home. Don't get me wrong I love Lydia, I really do, but taking her to Diane is probably the best thing I can do for her. She'll get Spayed, all her shots, and have tons of other kitties to play with! I feel bad, and it sucks, but I do feel like it's best for her sake.
