Big, dumb cats that we are!

I was in the office talking to the hubby, and he started making odd cries in the kitchen. I peeked and saw him dancing in front of the stove , making sounds I'd never heard. I thought it was cute and didn't think beyond that! So went back to the office to continue the conversation. A few minutes later Sinbad comes tearing in to join us and he's talking a mile a minute and looking intently at each of us. Tearing out of the office, tearing back in, in and out, meowing his little head off.

And we just stood there looking at him, asking him what was going on. 

Then the fire alarm started blaring.

He was trying to tell us there was a grease fire in the kitchen.

Next time he starts tearing around making sounds I've never heard from him before, I'll be sure to make a thorough investigation of the house!

WOW !!!! Just incredible. Please give Sinbad a big scratch and hug from me for saving you all !!!!!!! You certainly have a gem in that little man. :heart3:

He is frighteningly intelligent, that's for sure. 

I'm a game journalist, so I spend a lot of time playing video games.

Today he figured out that if he waits until the sound of combat begins while I'm playing a game, he has a few moments of "free time." He gets up into places he knows he's not allowed into, then jumps down when the combat music ends and looks up at me all innocently.

He is a heartbreaker though. I needed to finish up a review today, so ended up shutting him out of the office while I worked because he kept doing that. lol When I finished, I discovered he'd curled up against the closed office door to wait for me. Literally up against it, he tumbled in when I opened the door.
