Ali and prednisone

She is on 25 mgs of prednisone and will be weaned down to 20 mgs on the 17th.

She looks good and has no signs of the pemphigus right now.

We will be weaning her down 5 mgs at a time either over a week or 2 week period, not sure which yet.

We have a consult with our vet on Monday to talk about it.

She was on 20 mgs and our vet cut it down to 10 mgs and the pemphigus cam back  immediately.

So she was put on 25 mgs.

I am really worried about her and concerned if we cannot beat this.

Wow, 25 mg? I thought 10 mg was the max for kitties. I'm so sorry that the pemphigus is only controlled with such a high dose. It is a vicious disease.

Ty and yes 10 mgs is usually the max dose but it didm"t work and out vet, and we are giving it a chance this way.

I do not know if that makes sense or not but we are doing what we can of ruer and she is comfortable and was even playing last nigh tight her flash ball track.

I am hoping and praying.
