Kitten with a knob

My kitten has some kind of 'knob' under his cheek. It's as big as his ear and we noticed it

this morning. He normally eats, but I think it hurts him because he's not really looking at the

right (the knob is on the right). What should I do? The vet told us to come so we're hoping

it's not something serious. Thanks for help . 

It turned out to be pus. The vet shaved the area, punctured it and

cleaned it. The kitten fell in shock but now it's ok.

It must have been a puncture wound that got infected. Have you got any antibiotics for him?

Yes, he got a shot that hurt him a little bit and he got a syrup. Right now he's in bandages and lying in 'bed'. Lucky he's a kitten so he sleeps allot. I will post a picture.

 His name is Thor.   

He looks quite grumpy but he was a little tired and I caught some pictures while he was sleeping. Now it's getting better, and the knob is smaller than yesterday. He's going to vet tomorrow and they're going to torture him again.

We adopted him a week ago, he was a homeless kitten. There are 2 sisters and a brother left, but we picked him because he was the hairiest. He comes from a place where a long time ago one lady got a Norwegian Forest Cat male, he escaped and bred with almost all females in the neighborhood. And now there are over 100 Norwegian Forest Cats that roam that neighborhood. And Thor is one of those. He's gonna be huge and hairy when he grows up. but he's only 2 months old now. Maybe 2 and a half. Officially, his birthday is 7th July.
