Guys please help. I'm new here and I dont know how to start a new thread since I'm on mobile and their tutorial is for desktop users. Here's my cat, Wicca. The pet shop wehre I got here told me she was a 4 month old Persian and I paid good money. I was so excited to have a cat and never bothered knowing first. I love Wicca and all, but I'm just curious. And Im planning to buy more cats and if the guy where I got her is not trustworthy, maybe I should go find a better shop. Thanks much!

I would contact the folks where I bought her and question them if I were you. It seems like they misled you. I would let them know I intended to buy another cat, but I had some questions first about Wicca and her breed. It wouldn't hurt to see what kind of answer they will give you.

Pet stores are generally bad places to buy cats (those with homeless cats for adoption are different of course). Responsible breeders don't sell to pet shops, and, even if the cats are from a breeder who isn't terrible, it's best if you can meet the cat's mother and talk directly to the breeder about their cats. You may be able to find breeders in your area through the breed club's website.

If a cat being purebred is important to you, make sure the cat is registered with a respectable purebred cat registry such as TICA or CFA (if you're in the US; there are other registries in other countries). It's the only way to know for sure if a cat is purebred.

As for your new kitty, I'm sure she has some Persian in her, and will certainly grow up to be a fine fluffy kitty. Without papers there's no way to know if she's purebred or not, and, from a pet shop, I would suspect not. But any kitty can be a good pet, and I hope you and she have a lot of fun together :D.

Its difficult to say anything for sure as we dont have a good clear photo of her face.

But the precedessors gave you adequate answers - I agree.

Good luck!   @WiccaTheCat

Yes, I agree. Petshop is not a good idea to go find a cat. But Im happy that I have Wicca, at least there's a family who truly love and care for her now :')

Yes. I've tried to contact them but they don't reply to my messages. I will do that, next time, I'll just go and find a true breeder.

She looks so cute. Make sure to get her to the vet to double check she is in good health. Other than that give her a hug from us!
