Oh, that's wonderful!
Just want to say that I don't know about "victory" tails, but cats with their tails held high and curved at the tip usually mean happy kitties!

Ooh, if you want them to use a cat bed (or whatever item you want them to sleep in) you should put it in the place where you are when you are awake. I built my cats a sort of cat bed and I quickly figured out that in the bedroom they wouldn't use it, because why would they? There is a bed.

Then I moved it to the living room and 'lo and behold, they sleep in it during the day, to take their naps!

Cats just love to be around us, asleep or awake, and they won't sleep in the bed (mine won't, anyway) when you are not there. They'll sleep/nap in the same room you are in. So you can actually "trick" them.

Just like you can be sure they WILL climb into a box, no matter where you put it.

Thanks! I'll move one of the cat beds back into the living room just in case. I found awesome (dog) pet blankets for 1/2 the regular price at Ross with faux sheepskin on one side. I think it's fake, but very comfy and my cat loves to rest on them on the floor. There's patterns of dogs and dog bones on all of them, but that just makes it funny that my cat is lying on them. She has 6! :D If they restock the blue one, then she'll have 7!!

My cat seems to sleep on my bed when I'm gone actually. Every time I come home, she's walking out of my room. I think she hid under the bed for the first few days or so, but I came home last week and found her still lying in the bed with her head up staring. She must have been tired. She didn't even get up as I walked around the room. I think she loves my goose down comforter. But, also, sometimes my neighbors walk by my apt and my windows are big, so Bonita probably feels safer in my room. Gosh, I ♡ her!!! :D

I heard that it meant victory, and it made sense. So I did not bother checking if it's true.

But if that really means happy kitty, then this one is happy most of the time!

Ah yes, the tail up with the point bent, like a question mark. It's happy.

@kutubira, I feel like I'm starting to have to fight for the same space in bed now too...=/  I came home last week and kitty was lying in my bed in my spot just looking at me! O_O Now she has started sleeping on my pillow above my head which wakes me up during the night. I don't think she is sleeping either, but instead just sitting there. I guess I don't mind because I pretty much just let her do whatever she wants unless it involves chewing plastic or chocolate...but if she's not waking me up by lying where my feet need to go, now she's waking me up also by sitting on my pillow above my head.

She came over to me yesterday and I realized...jeez, is that look a "you're in my spot" look?? O_O There's the whole other 1/2 of my bed for her but I guess it's not appealing since I don't sleep there!

Also, I put out a sweater on my bed this morning to wear to work and when I came back in, she was half-lying on it and when I went to get it, she tried to stop me. O_O Now I have to share my clothes with my kitty!! Or go buy her a sweater...and pretend I want it...O_O

Kitties!

aww your kitty loves you and wants to be close to you and on or around things that carry a lot of your scent.

My cat Charlie does the same thing. He will sleep on my pillow...even on top of my head if possible. It used to wake me up but now i'm so used to it (i've had him over 1 year now). I"ll go to sleep on my pillow with Charlie right next to my head on the same pillow...I wake up sleeping on no pillow, and charlie taking over my whole pillow and his legs spread out over my face. He does's sleep on the BF's pillow, but if the BF is sleeping with me too, he will sleep inbetween our heads...taking over the majority of two pillows. LOL

LOL.
Aww! I loves her!!! I'm glad she's acting the way she is then. Otherwise, I'd think she might be trying to kick me out of my spots. o_o

I know I complained about her behavior about my bed but I think I wouldn't change this for world.

These days, she starts to sleep on my pillow, and in the morning, I find her near my feet, snuggled near my feet and looking forward to seeing me wake up. Then she comes to me and plays with me. Her nails are long now, I think at least for 1 week, but she doesn't hurt me with them. Sometimes, she pets me :D

She hates it when I put my computer on my lap. She tries to push it. When I remove the computer from my lap, she sits there, and leaves my computer alone. In fact, we've watched some movies together, without me having to keep her away from the computer. I bet she'd comment on the movies if she knew how to talk.

I admit I was having doubts when I got this cutie. I'm a student, kinda broke, don't have much time and stressed out most of the times. I was worried I wouldn't be able to take care of her. But we got along well. She got used to my routine. She doesn't climb to my desk when I'm studying, but she does so if I am not at the desk. She doesn't mess with my books and notes, but she messes with other paper stuff. It's like she knows that I have to graduate and get a job to take better care of her. "Study, you human. I want my expensive toys soon."

I could go on talking about her for ages, I could talk about how she welcomes me to my home etc. I love her.

EDIT: The most awesome thing about her nowadays is, she reacts to her name and comes out wherever she is. She's also beginning to understand what "No" means. She looks at me before she does something that she thinks she's not supposed to do. She does it anyway most of the time, but we'll get there.

Aww!! This is so great!! You don't have to worry about not being able to give her expensive toys now, but I felt the same way you feel when I was a student and wanted to be able to buy toys and things for my sister's cat I wanted really badly because we really bonded. Your kitty doesn't miss what she doesn't know and cats love "trash" like empty cardboard boxes. My pretty kitty loves crumpled flyers just as much as her purchased toys. :D I throw them in the air and she catches them or chases them and even plays with them by herself sometimes! She completely ignores her expensive cat tower and instead loves pet blankies or "hiding" beside different empty boxes.

@kutubira, Ah, never mind what I said about my cat learning quickly to sleep around me. It's been a while since I reported on her sleep, but when she does come to sleep with me on the bed, sometimes she sleeps at the foot of the bed...the only problem is that that is where my feet go, so I did accidentally kick her once at night early on when I woke up and was wondering why my legs were curled up. I looked and didn't see her so I thought she must not be there, even though I suspected she must be and that was what woke me up...dumb to not have checked again.
I thought after I kicked her a little hard accidentally that one time, she'd stop sleeping there, but she still sometimes sleeps where my feet should be and sometimes where my legs go so that I wake up in the middle of the night at some awkward angle in my bed with my sheets not covering me properly. Prior to that, I kicked her super lightly off the bed about twice in the middle of the night...she was alert so quickly dashed off then. I thought she'd learned but I think she is trying to tell me that she really wants to sleep there sometimes...

I must move away automatically when she tries to sleep on my legs...this happened again last night.
Of course, I don't wake her and instead I try to adjust myself as best as I can at the awkward angle I wake up in as I can no longer sleep comfortably with her there as I need to be on the right side of my bed...Anyway, this morning she came and sat on my legs while I was lying in bed so I figured this is what she must be trying to do at night. She curled up and tried to sleep while lying on my legs. 7 lbs feels heavy...I hope I can get used to her sleeping on me but I don't know how people do it...

Btw, I don't really mind...I definitely wouldn't try to move her or chase her away. I'd rather she kept doing this than me try to scare her or try to teach her. By the time I wake up and  finally locate her in the bed in the semi-dark, she's all curled up like she's been asleep for a while...so cute!!!

She also decided to sit on my chest this morning until I woke up. The lying on my legs thing came later after she'd eaten some wet food/breakfast and was ready to sleep again. Previously, she had been trying to wake me up last month by jumping on my chest, doing a running thing there as if to build up speed and then taking off by jumping off me...scared me awake each time!
But my meds make me a heavy, deep sleeper so I kept falling back asleep immediately and after about 7-8 times or maybe more, she's thankfully stopped doing that (for now!)

Gosh, I love her!!! She's so cute!!!

EDIT: I forgot to ask how it's going with your furbaby sleep-wise?

I moved to a new house and this made her uncomfortable. She was aggressive towards everything, especially me. Now she's better.

Sleep-wise, she now has other places she likes to sleep. This was a little heartbreaking, of course.

But I always find her on my bed when I wake up. And some sweet mornings, I find her on my chest, looking at me.

She still sometimes wants to fall asleep near me. She feels comfortable around me enough to put her hands on my arm or chest while falling asleep. And sometimes she sleeps on the blanket, sometimes she wants to get under the blanket.

She's pretty much free, she does whatever she wants to.

If my legs or hands are outside of the blanket, she wakes me up by either softly biting them or just tickling me. I'm not sure if this is because my alarm goes off, but I generally find out my alarm is ringing while she's doing this.

It's funny you mention this...because my cats do the same. I've trained them to leave me alone during the night, and they can bother me all they want once the alarm goes off. Looks like your kitty has learned on her own :) Probably why she's licking your or nibbling on you, and you wake up to hear the alarm going off too :) Sometimes my alarm will go off and I won't hear it..but I have 3 furry alarm clocks as back up!

All 3 of my cats attack me as soon as my alarm goes off. All bets are off then -_____-

Aww, that's so sweet to hear. It does feel a little heartbreaking when they don't want to sleep in bed with you at night. There was one night a week ago when I fell asleep without covers and I'm sure my baby lightly licked me a couple times on my body in the middle of the night. One very light lick, pause, another light lick, pause, repeat a couple more times.

I just had the sweetest night with my baby though!! I'm so surprised!! We "cat spooned". :D She woke me up by deciding to curl up next to my left arm to sleep, facing away from me, but not in a ball. I woke up at least 10 times because her sleeping on my arm would wake me up, she'd wake up and we'd either both just fall asleep or I'd readjust my arm and body, she'd turn in a circle, then get back into the same position and we'd fall asleep again. I actually just got the best night's sleep!! Maybe because of all the waking up during the night & the happy discoveries during the night. Finally, I scared her when I was turning to readjust sometime this morning and she left but I'm really hoping she'll do this again!!! :D
