Good morning and Happy Friday!
I'm just hanging around, waiting for 4:00, so I can get out of here.

Let's talk about eyes today. What color are your eyes? Do you wear glasses, contacts, or neither? When was the last time you had an eye appointment?

My eyes are bright blue. I used to wear the most gorgeous green contacts....loved them (I had dark auburn hair at the time and I loved the red hair with the green eyes). Alas, I'm back in glasses now, bifocals, to be exact. But I only wear them to drive at night....I actually wear my prescription sunglasses more often than my regular glasses. The bifocal thing really messes me up, especially when I'm reading or on the computer, and I still can't get used to them. It's been a couple of years since my last eye appt and I need to get into see the doctor as I know my prescription has changed. I could use new glasses as well as new sunglasses and I don't want transitional lenses....I want regular sunglasses. Rick has eye insurance at work and I'm covered by him. My own work insurance doesn't cover eyes.

I have brown eyes. I'm very nearsighted so I wear glasses. I used to wear contacts but because I have an astigmatism when I wear contacts now I need reading glasses guess I'm just getting old lol.
I do wear contacts when going out for a party or such though.
My last eye exam was about a month ago because my glasses broke.

I have brown eyes. I'm very nearsighted with an astigmatism. I've worn glasses since I was 8---I've never even tried contacts because the thought of something on my eyeball kind of freaks me out a little :lol3:. It's been WAY too long since I had an eye exam, but I really need new glasses so I better get on it. I've tried to get in a couple times but I couldn't get an appointment that didnt interfere with my work schedule. Need to keep calling.

My eyes are blue-gray with a green ring in them. I wear both contacts and glasses with graduated lenses and am way overdue for an eye doctor's appointment. In my younger years I used to wear a variety of colored contact lenses (blue, gray, aqua, green), so people were really confused about my eye color. :lol3:

I have brown eyes. I only wear glasses at work to reduce the glare from the computer screen. Without my glasses at work, I get migraines.

Last time I got my eyes checked out was 8 years ago when I got these glasses. really should get my eyes rechecked.. but no insurance.

I have brown eyes. Everyone in my whole family has brown eyes, but I have a very blue eyed daughter and we aren't quite sure where they came from. I have glasses, but they hurt my eyes now. I need to go for another eye exam, last one was 2 years ago.

Blue eyes... I wear glasses and have to have them for driving... I realised that about six years ago when a friend said to me "can you see whether that sign up ahead tells us the way to Bribie?" and I said "what sign?"

I'm due for a test.. Thank you for the reminder..

My eyes are blue and one of the few features I like about myself.  I have worn glasses since I was in the 2nd grade and can't do anything without them.  I had contacts from the time I was 16 until I was 26 I believe.  I developed an infection in the cornea of my right eye and it took a full month to get my vision back.  My eye doctor said it was from over wearing my contacts (I had the kind you swap out every 3 months but don't sleep in).  I had to go through MRIs and other neurological testing to be sure it wasn't something else.  It was really no fun.  About a year later I got contacts again but they weren't comfortable anymore.  Both in my eye and to look through.  I could barely take a whole day at work in them.  I tried 3 prescriptions before I found one that wasn't too strong feeling; leading to a headache.  And then I couldn't see as far with it.

After those were gone I was home with my DD so I just gave up on them.  I used to lay down and nap when my kids did; so it was easier to already be in glasses.  I splurged on some prescription sunglasses a while back too.  I do miss the contacts; mostly when we go to get family pictures done or when we go somewhere I need to dress up like a  wedding.  I have cute glasses; but still.  I do like my eyes and you can't see them as well when they are behind my glasses.  My current glasses are about 6 months old I think.

I come from a long line of green-eyed people, a few monsters. I can't say it's my favorite eye color, but it's okay if they aren't too yellowish. Married a green-eyed man, have a green-eyed daughter.  Even our cats...

I was near-sighted and wore contacts since I was 12. I always hated glasses, most likely because my mother always told me I looked hideous in them. Now I think they are easy and fun and I like them, good thing since I need them to see close up, mid-range, and distance. I have several pairs of glasses including progressives, also bifocal contacts, and just got some polarized sunglasses - omg I should have bought those years ago. Next is prescription polarized sunglasses but those won't be needed here for another 10 months so no rush. We buy insurance so I get my eyes checked once a year, they pay for contacts or glasses every other year.

My eyes are Hazel, they change depending on the light from brown to green.  I wear bifocals also.  When I'm on the computer I wear a pair of glasses just for close ups.  I cannot wear bifocals while on the computer, that would drive me nuts.  That is why I have 3 pair of glasses, one is a bifocal which I wear all the time, one pair is for the computer and then I have the prescription sunglasses.

Pam you should have a pair just for when you're on the computer, it makes a big difference.

My eyes are blue (not light) w/ yellow? flecks in them.

My last appointment was January 2014.

I wear glasses to drive at night, (or cloudy days), for distance. My Rx isn't very strong. The best way to describe it, is if you were looking at an old regular t.v.,  then looked at a new digital, HDTV. Just a little crisper & clearer!

Just turning 45 last month, I had recently started to do the "pull away thing" for really small print. My Dr. said I could try the weakest reading glasses, but those are even a bit to strong, so not quite there yet..

Another hazel here leaning towards green.  They seem to change depending on what color I'm wearing. They were blue when I was a kid.

I wear glasses, trifocals.  Can't really see without them any longer.  Had great vision until I hit around 40 and then it all caught up with me

I go to have my eyes checked yearly.  I'm actually a little bit overdue now because of all the other doctors I've had to see.

I have dark brown eyes, but haven't needed glasses. I last went to the optometrist 3 years ago and he said decreasing the frequency of my appointments at that time would be fine since most people have their vision "level out" around that age, so unless I'm putting lots of undue strain on my eyes regularly, it shouldn't be an issue until I'm older. My dad, both brothers, grandmothers, all the aunts and uncles on my dad's side, and one aunt on my mom's side wear glasses all the time, and my mom and another one of her sisters as well as her brother will sometimes wear reading glasses so I'm very grateful for my vision. Everyone has their fingers crossed my 4 year old nephew will take after my good eyes.

I have emerald green eyes, with some blue flecks and yellow spokes in them. My MIL thought, for the past 11-12 years, that I had blue eyes! She just assumed, as I'm a redhead, that I did. I don't wear corrective lenses (yet!). I may be lucky--Mom only needed reading glasses, and even then, not until her 60's--the same with Dad.

I'd love to have a black, green-eyed cat!

My eyes are hazel, I wear bifocals, but only to read, and just had an appointment and got new glasses about 6 weeks ago.

I have blue eyes and glasses that I don't wear that often. The prescription is minor and they are progressives. I find myself wearing them more on cloudy days. I was last at the eye doctor following up on some tests in July and will have a yearly exam again in December. Prior to last December it had been quite a few years since I had gone.
