I was sleeping (it was night time), and I don't know what happened, if he fell over from something or what I don't know

He's almost 10 weeks old

I always leave him a plate of food before I sleep so that he wouldn't be too hungry in the middle of the night(he's confined to my room when he's not supervised), and I usually find it empty when I wake up, but today it was full, he didn't rat a single bite,

I tried giving it to him by finger he still didn't want it, so I put him some yoghourt in a plate with some cheese and chicken, he usually gobbles it up, but he only took a few licks, didn't finish the plate

, so I made him some milk(powdered and really diluted) I know I shouldn't give him that but he loves it and I thought I would get something in his stomach, he drank some then stopped

Then I noticed he was limping! He won't put his hind leg on the floor much!!

And the vet won't open today or tomorrow

So I can only take him on Saturday

So I don't know what to do to not make it so painful or to help him, and I don't know what to do :( Please help!!

Anyone?? please

He ate the rest of the yoghurt from my hand, then he slept then played a little while laying down

I tried putting some ice on his leg (wrapped in a towel) but he won't let me do it properly, I can't hold him since he doesn't like to be held, and if I put it on his leg while he's sitting he moves away

He would sleep for a few minutes then wake up and watch whats around him, walks a little limping of course (I don't want to play with him, I'm worried It would make his leg worse if I do)

I really don't know what to do till I can get to the vet on Saturday

What can I do to help him please!?

No advice here but call the vet's office anyways. There should be an after hours voicemail message that will tell you who to contact for emergencies. You can also search for a local vet ER here: http://www.veccs.org/index.php?option=com_hospitals&nationid=1&Itemid=193 You can also try calling local animal shelters and rescues to find another vet that is open this week. Your cat really needs to be seen by a vet. The leg could be anything from a simple sprain to somethng more serious like a broken bone.

If it is broken you will be able to tell. You would also hear your kitty's screaming from the break. He probably was playing a little to vigorously and strained himself. Don't panic. I would feel for any breaks and see if the leg moves. I would try to keep him calm until you can get him to a vet. Cats do things like this from playing around and they recover after a few hours. He probably will be walking right soon on his own.

Since he's so young I think it's more a sprain or dislocation from goofing off as kitten like to do. His bones are still soft so not likely it's broken, plus he would be a little
More vocal regarding the pain level. Try an pick him up and give his legs a feel. See if you can determine where you think the fracture is. Try comparing the other leg to the bad leg. Use ice for swelling and warmest for pain. Not hot just warm from a heating pad. Try and bring him his food in his usual dish while he is resting. Also take and place him in his litter box so he can do his business. If he's not running around like his usual self, he's not burning off all those calories he needs. Good luck and keep us posted.

The best thing is to confine him to a small area so he doesn't have to use that leg as much until you can get him to a vet.

Okay I'll try putting something warm on his leg for the pain, thanks

He won't let me hold him well (he hates being held) But I tried feeling the legs and it seems normal to me, I didn't feel any bumps or anything out of place

He only takes occasional walks, to move from place to place, I brought him his food and he ate it, I let him eat it out of my fingers so he won't need to get up

Thanks all your answers calmed me down a bit

Is it normal that he's eating just a bit less(just a bit, he still eats good) than he normally does? Is it because he's not running around?

I hope he gets better soon, thank you all

I'll keep you posted insha'allah :)

He's better today elhamdullah :D he's been putting more weight on it than yesterday

He woke up wanting to play, and he was running around, then resting for a minute then again walking around, playing usually while he's laying down, climbing the couch and so

(he's still limping though) I hope all this won't make his leg worse

I'll be taking him to the vet tomorrow when he opens if he doesn't get better by then insha'allah
