I have always wondered what breed mixes my cats might be. I know that Snowball is a traditional siamese.  Jason is a black and white tuxedo but he has almond shaped eyes and is melanistic having chocolate brown stripes hidden in his short black coat. Deenah is similar in that she has chocolate brown stripes under a medium length coat but her eyes are more normal.  Spookie on the other hand... He's had a rough start in life- has brain damage too.. He is very small, but his ears are enormous, his head is wide and his tail curls over his back (the neurologist didn't know whether or not this was due to his injuries as a kitten but the curling took place over the first year).. Let me know what you think!

Beauties,, all of them. A lot of black kitties look a bit red under a light AND can have very faint tabby stripes. If the undercoat is grey, then they would be considered black smoke. Your other two cats are beautiful as well. I love Siamese and brown tabby kitties. Gosh - I love them all. :lol2:

Unlike dogs, the vast majority of cats have no actual breed/mix in their background. Cats is cats :D. We call them domestic shorthairs (or longhairs, if applicable). Except for the Siamese, who I could certainly believe is purebred (do you know for sure if he is or not?), the rest are domestic shorthairs. I would guess the guy with a curly tail has it due to neurological damage and not because of any breed trait. Lovely kitties! Glad to see a disabled kitty in a good home!
