I finally found something my cat will eat (chicken, turkey, giblet canned Whole Paws brand from Whole Foods). Been eating it consistently for a couple weeks. He seems to barf a lot when fed beef. He doesn't like EVO venison. So what else is there? I did cave and buy some Pole and Line Deck Hand  tuna cat food from Whole Foods. It has no added carbs and a very high protein content. He LOVES it. Problem is that I know fish isn't a good idea…BUT this brand is Pole and Line which is a technique used to catch young tuna one at a time. The mercury content is significantly lower. Anyone know anything about this? Or if it's ok to switch to fish for awhile?

I personally try to rotate three proteins in a seven day period, but Ritz will eat anything. Chicken and turkey are somewhat different. Can he eat quail or rabbit?
I can't find the ingredients in Pole and Line Deck Hand cat food--can you give us the ingredients?

With canned foods, it's normally ok to rotate proteins/brands with every meal, IF your cat will eat it.  I have one cat who will eat pretty much anything I put in front of him.  Then I have another one who will only eat one or two different things, and I am sad to say they are both from the same manufacturer.  I really don't like to feed him everything from the same company, just in case they have a recall

So, feel free to try out different foods on your furbaby.  Since he vomits with beef, then stay away from it.  You can try rabbit, lamb, the occasional fish, pork, and whatever else you can find.  AND remember, all chicken or turkey or whatever is not alike.  My third cat will eat Nutro Natural Choice minced chicken for instance, but not Nutro Natural Choice Chunky Loaf chicken

Mogli mainly eats single-protein, grain-free canned food and gets a different protein every day. His current rotation is goat, duck, reindeer, rabbit, kangaroo, horse, veal, beef, and turkey (the latter is a recent addition). He occasionally gets tuna or a lamb/rabbit combo and cooked pork or beef. The main criteria are no chicken or grain due to food allergies and a combination of one protein and low fat content due to digestive problems (IBD), not the number of proteins overall. He definitely loves variety.

If your cat has trouble with beef, it's probably best to dispense with it altogether.

Ingredients look okay, that's a lot of tuna fish, so personally I would feed only occasionally. But I come from the perspective of Ritz ONLY eating fish flavored food (Fancy Feast Classic) and having three UTIs.

Have you tried wellness CORE flavors or Merrick pate flavors?
